Retreiving forms with FetchVersion

I would like to use the FetchVersion method from the livelink java api to retrieve pdf eforms from livelink. However, I am unable to retrieve the form with saved data filled into the form fields, I just receive a blank pdf form with fetchversion. Is there a way to retrieve eforms with data filled in from the database with the Java api?
