SQL calculation for Workflow Milestone late?
Srini_Venkataramani
I am writing a webreport and some of the information that it returns is similar to the Workflow status page.what are the calculations that Livelink internally makes, to display the Workflow status? I am using the following: (part of TSQL query)case when w.work_status = 1 then 'Suspended' when (getdate() > w.work_datedue_max) then 'Workflow Late'when (getdate() > t.subworktask_datemilestone) then 'Milestone late'when (getdate() > t.subworktask_datedue_max) then 'Step Late'when w.work_status = 2 then 'OK'But the SQL returns the status for workflow that are actually OK as 'Milestone late' incorrectly. I guess that is because the "WSubworktask.subworktask_datemilestone" field holds the value of the last milestone "completed" and not the due date for the next milestone. HOW DOES LL calculate the due date for the next milestone? Is there a way we can do the same? Thanks in advance for any help.Srini

Message from Greg Petti via eLinkHi,You may not be aware, but WebReports also supports the ability to interpretthe status codes.Assuming that your LiveReport is returning the column work_status, thefollowing WebReport tag would convert the status value to the correct text:[LL_REPTAG=WORK_STATUS STATUS:WORK /]Just to explain this, if you used only the tag: [LL_REPTAG=WORK_STATUS /] Then you would only see the numeric status value. By adding the STATUS"subtag" you are asking WebReports to decode the numeric value. Theparameter :WORK specifies that this is a status code from the wWork table. If you were returning a numeric status from the wsubwork table you coulduse: STATUS:SUBWORK. This subtag also supports: STATUS:SUBWORKTASK,STATUS:WORKAUDIT, and STATUS:TASK. A list of these subtags (and all of the tags supported) is provided in theonline help for WebReports under Tag Guide. Subtags are in the third sectionof this guide and if you double click on any item a full description isrevealed. Message from Venkataramani, Srini via eLinkThanks for the reply.1) I was not aware of the STATUS subtag. I looked up the WebreportsReference Guide v2.0.1 (attached) and the online tag reference but could notfind the STATUS subtag in either document. Is there any other documentationfor Webreports that I am missing?2) Also, even if the tag were available to me, that's not what I am exactlylooking for. I am looking to categorize workflows as -Workflow late-Milestone late-Step late-OKThis is exactly how it is in the Workflow Status page for each workflow map.I just want to use the same status codes in a webreport that I am trying todevelop. Any help is appreciated. Message from Greg Petti via eLinkHi,You are using an old version of WebReports as the newest version for youLivelink version is probably 3.0.0. As another version will be released thisyear, you should probably upgrade anyway. I'll think about any possible ways of returning the milestone_lateinformation with the aid of the WebReports tags. Message from Venkataramani, Srini via eLinkI figured it myself and thought I would share it in case someone else findit useful.I am using a combination of Livereports and Webreports to do this.1) Livereport part:The livereport returns the "Wsubworktask.subworktask_datedue_max" field forthe milestone tasks that we have in the workflow map (I am selecting thembased on the taskid). These dates would are in different rows in theLivereport result.2) Webreport part:In the webreport, I am using Javascript to implement the following logic: - If current date > milestone date then "Milestone Late" else OKNow this is repeated for each row of the Livereport result and hence of anyof the milestones are late the workflow status is shown as "Milestone late"Also, Greg was right - We are running 2.0.0. We are planning on upgrading to9.5 soon and the upgrade to the newest Webreports module is pert of theplan.Thanks,Srini-----Original Message-----From: eLink Discussion: Livelink LiveReports Discussion[mailto:livereportsdiscussion@elinkkc.opentext.com] Sent: Monday, January 30, 2006 10:57 AMTo: eLink RecipientSubject: RE RE RE SQL calculation for Workflow Milestone late?RE RE RE SQL calculation for Workflow Milestone late?Posted by Petti, Greg on 01/30/2006 01:57 PMMessage from Greg Petti via eLinkHi,You are using an old version of WebReports as the newest version for youLivelink version is probably 3.0.0. My Webreport version is 3.5.0 on LL 9.5 version, bust still get an error that the STATUS tag is not supported by this version. But I got this logic from the oscript for Inbox (get Status method call in WAPI). A simple javascript in the webreport can get the correct results required).
Greg_Petti
Message from Greg Petti via eLinkThe STATUS subtag should be supported on this version. I would have tosee your syntax to know exactly what is wrong. The original post contains a brief description of using this subtagwhich I have included here:Assuming that your LiveReport is returning the column work_status, the following WebReport tag would convert the status value to the correcttext: [LL_REPTAG=WORK_STATUS STATUS:WORK /] Just to explain this, if you used only the tag: [LL_REPTAG=WORK_STATUS/] Then you would only see the numeric status value. By adding the STATUS "subtag" you are asking WebReports to decode the numeric value. The parameter :WORK specifies that this is a status code from the wWorktable. If you were returning a numeric status from the wsubwork table you coulduse: STATUS:SUBWORK. This subtag also supports: STATUS:SUBWORKTASK, STATUS:WORKAUDIT, and STATUS:TASK.Greg

Could you post your JS snippet so that others that want to do the same thing will have a reference?
