LDAP Synch with domain/username format

Our Livelink instance is installed on a DMZ to allow external users from other domains. We currently use the NTLM Synch/Auth because it is the only protocol with domain/user format, but we would like to use the extra features of LDAP (such as pulling the email address field). However, Directory Services 2.3.1 only has username-only support for the LDAP protocol. Is there any expected future support for domain/user format with the LDAP Synch?

You stated that it might be in the next version (from 2.3.1)...We are getting ready to upgrade our LiveLink to 9.7 next quarter. Has the version that will support this domain\user format been released or does it have an expected release date?We only have one domain now that uses LiveLink, so how big of a deal would it be to convert from NTLM domain/user to LDAP read username_only? Are there any documents on this?
