CAPI.AllogLog LOG_TRUNCATE Open Mode

Can anyone explain the effect of the CAPI.LOG_TRUNCATE open mode for the CAPI.AllocLog function?The usual one to use is CAPI.LOG_APPEND, which makes sense.I want to be able to write capi logs without actually writing capi logs. Any ideas whether that mode would work for that?
