LiveReport to list all documents in a folder hierarchy with projects and subprojects
Pfizer_Developers
Does anyone have a livereport or a sql query that will list all documents under a root folder that also has projects and subprojects.It seems the relationship of dataid, parentid and ownerid with the negative values is not very clear to me.All objects under a folder have their parentid=dataid of the parent folderbut if the object is under a project then their parentid=(-)dataid of the project but their ownerid=dataid of the projectSomething like the output of the "project outline" from the gui except that this would be a "folder outline".Any help will be greatly appreciated.Mohsin

The following related information from a colleague of mine, Lindsay Davies, may be of help in this regards:
"...
difficulty arises because a project workspace is a separate volume so has a parentid of -1.
This means that it is the top of its tree, having no parent.
Luckily, Livelink uses the negative dataid of a project for its workspace object.
This means you can cross that volume boundary using the absolute value (that is, by ignoring the sign).
The children in the project volume have a parentid that is the negative of the project dataid
and it is these that do not normally get detected in the connect by prior.
In the sample below, I have output parentid and dataid just to help with the explanation.
select
parentid,
dataid,
subtype,
lpad(' ', LEVEL * 2) || name as name,
childcount
from
dtree
where
subtype in (0,202)
connect by
prior
dataid=abs(parentid)
start with
dataid=35925
some of the output....
(see attached output.txt)
Hope it makes sense or at least that this is of use.
