customs Form to connect Web Services

I have modify a html Form to connect a web services. What I need to do is place the webservice.htc file in the same folder of the html Form. I wonder where I should put those in. Is it the only way to make web service connection to outside through html From? Thanks

Hi Eric,

 

We’ve tried the webservice.htc filefrom a customview but were not very successful with it running in Livelink, mostlydue to security limitations.

 

Instead we built a simple proxy (in ASPclassic and now .NET) to perform request/response with a web service. We communicatewith it from any HTML page through Ajax.This has been working great and we use it for HTML inside and outside of Livelinkand more recently thick/smart clients.
