Stored Procedures in LiveReports

I am fairly new to Livelink, so I didn't know where to post this discussion. I hope this is the right place. I am trying to write a stored procedure that can be called from a LiveReport. I am running Livelink 9.5 SP1, but I don't know where to put the stored procedure after it is created. Where do I build and load the stored procedure so the LiveReport can call it? Once it is built, how does the LiveReport call it? Is there documentation out there for these questions, because I haven't found it yet. Thanks!

Hi Todd,

You write (create) the stored procedure using a DB tool appropriate to your selected RDBMS.

SQL*Plus for Oracle, for example, or Query Analyzer for MS SQLServer.

Or a third party tool DB such as Toad.

Connect to the correct DB by logging in as the DB account that owns the Livelink schema.

The stored procedure is then owned by the schema account and is accessible by any Livelink user.

To call the procedure, just specify the name and any parameters in the SQL input box in the Livereport, as you would any other SQL you might run.

Message from Alex Kowalenko via eLinkYes.For LiveReport nodes (subtype=299) the ExtendedData column of DTree is anassoc with a key called "SubReport_ID". This key has the value of asub-LiveReport DataID if there is one. Otherwise it is undefined (value of"?"). A WebReport can list LiveReports with sub-reports.
