AdminService Usage

I've seen AdminService is used in Livelink core modules for making system calls. Where is it documented?

Does that mean developers are not encouraged to use it? I can find out how to use it by looking into the core modules. But I'm not sure if it will change in the future versions. Has it ever changed in the last couple of years?

The usage is visible in the Builder so we could not stop third-parties from learning/using it. However, Open Text does not guarantee that the behaviour would remain the same in the future.Ray
