Calculated attribute values

Any suggestions on implementing attributes that are calculated values - based on other attribute values ?

In theory, an attribute value could be calculated from other attributes by using a table key lookup and returning the values in a custom SQL query. Livelink throws an exception if the SQL does not include a FROM clause however, so the following is not allowed:Select + AS Attr3or even: Select 'FRED' AS BARNEY - which is valid SQL. Can anyone provide the restrictions that are imposed on SQL queries ??

Try something like this....

Select 'FRED' AS BARNEY from (select 'Fred' as bob) cat

This is valid SQL and has the 'From' keyword.
