filters directory gigs in size (9.2 ish)

Only found one post in here relating to this, suggesting that any .in files older than 24 hours can be safely deleted. Can anyone elaborate on what this folder is and what is isn't safe to delete. Indeed any info on what is/isn't safe to delete anywhere within the installation would be great as - all told - our OPENTEXT dirs are a combined 4GB in size and windows explorer stops for 10 full minutes before allowing you to view the contents - I'm assuming the zillions of files that have accrued there in the past 5 or so years might have something to do with that!

Message from Raymond Tsui via eLinkI would suggest you open a Support ticket, give the exact location of the folder. A product specialist would be able to give you a definitive answer.Deleting *all* .in files may not be a good idea because they might have been created by different applications (LL and non-LL).Ray

It's on a livelink dedicated partition so there's nothing that would be accessing that dir. I've found more in there too some ".out.xmltag" files and a search here for "xmltag" brings up little to no clues. It looks like the LL instance here was setup and configured in 2004 and has recieved zero maintenance since.Anyway, moving the .in and .out files to a nearby temporary dir has had no effect on the application and has reduced the livelink folder as a whole from 3GB to 50MB!
