It just ended up working for me, but hereare the things I checked before I rebuilt it again:

- Installed all of thenewest modules

- Removed old patches,installed the newest patches

- Excluded the indexdirectory from virus scanning

The key is understanding livelink schema.Livelink's objects are all stored in a table called dtree with a corresponding subtype.For eg folders are 0 documents are 144 and so on.Looking at a row of dtree we can imediately find out what object it is where would it be located and a host of other info in that row.So if your livelink was running on Oracle,Oracle provides a recursive tree walk so this query will work,in SQLserver you would have to walk the tree yourself with a UDF or storedProc

continued sorry the SQL did not make it select DT.DataID ,DT.Name,DT.SubType from Dtree DT start with DT.DataID = %1 CONNECT BY PRIOR DT.DataID = DT.ParentID replace %1 with a valid folder id.if you need to report project use the abs function(this will slow the query down abs(dataid=abs(parentid))
