URGENT ApplQuery Error -2147481632

I am try to use ApplyQuery() Java LAPI but when I execute the program it is giving error -2147481632 .The status message is: Livelink cannot run your Query because it is waiting for one or more search engines to start.What's the reason for this error?Many thanks for your response.Daniel

it is most probably exactly as what the error says.LAPI is making use of search within livelink.If the search engine is down it will throw this error.Alert your sysadmin.If you are new to livelink search and its administration look at the possible pitfalls .Typically if you go to the SOV of the livelink instance there should be a bunch of errors there.
