Use of CLOB data type rather than LONG data types

Livelink 9.5 SP1 using Oracle 10g on Windows 2003.To report on workflow attributes we created custom views which work fine except that WFAttrData.WF_ValLong is not searchable. To try to create a searchable field, we are trying to use a Materialized View and convert the LONG values to CLOB values in the view. However, when using LiveReports anytime I select a CLOB field, the LiveLink services abends and dies.I CAN select the CLOB data fields using Crystal Reports, just not with LiveReports.Does anyone have any information about using CLOB data types with LiveReports?
