LR to Display Mime Type - Producing ?

I have a LR that displays the MimeTypes and the count of versions for each file format. One of the File formats is listed as a '?', and has 1,000s of versions. Why would a '?' show up as a Mime Type?Thanks.

LiveReports insert ? characters when there is no value in the corresponding database field. So if you create a similar report and display the detail (not the counts) and look at some of the files, the mime type should be blank. I don't know how this happens as you can't select a "blank"mime type. My guess is someone used Livelink Explorer to drag the files and Livelink couldn't determine what mime type to associate these files to.

I’d suspect that ‘?’correlates with an empty MIMEType field in DVersData.

I’d recommend examining those nodesdirectly through a SQL client to see what kind of nodes they are.

Maybe it will make more sense once you putit into context.
