Getting xml string out of XMLExport function against saving to a file & then get XML string

XMLExport is running fine with exporting xml to file specified in parameter.In our scenario, we dont need to save xml to a file. But when used other option it returns null value to a BinaryWriter outputStream.Does anybody have sample code how to use the other parameter?I am using Livelink 9.7.1 with .NET
