Sync error
Jeff_Brown_(G*_ECM_Champ)
Hi,I am seeing an error come up in the Sync log and wonder how I can find out more info on what is causing the error. This is from the verbose logs:Synchronization completed with error: Could not add a member: 'Specified parent-child relationship already exists.'[Thu Dec 11 02:54:09 2008] : Specified parent-child relationship already exists.Any ideas how to find this error or what is causing it? There is no other references to it in the logs. Thanks

Jeff, I'd guess that its trying to add a user to a group and finding that the user is already in the group, so I'd locate the user id and the groupid and check out KUAFCHILDREN as that is most likely where the error is coming from. The connect logs should give you more detail.

You would need to generate a set of logs showing the failure. With those logs support would be able to identify the pairing that is causing the problem. I recently saw this issue when a user was being manually assigned to a group, but also being assigned dynamically in LDAP. This resulted in the synch trying to add the user twice.---------------------------------------Chris WaggPrincipal Product SpecialistEscalations Support TeamOpen Text CorporationPh: 800-540-7292---------------------------------------
