Accessing a folder using URL

Hello,One customer has a livelink system with single-sogn-on set up with active directory. We tried to access a folder directly using a url, i.e. http://hostname:8080/livelink/livelink.exe?func=ll&objId=16178. When the url was opened, the browser showed an error message and asking to log out of the Livelink session. Once clicking on the logout button on the page, we were able to see the folder. Can anyone shed some lights on what's happening and how we can solve this issue?Thanks,Harry Xie

I notice that your URL is using port 8080, this isn't a URL that was set up to log you in manually, is it? I am also wondering why you have a logout button, if you have Directory Services authentication enabled?

The port number is from my own installation for testing purpose. The URL parameters is the one I want to emphasize on. Why we got logout button is the question we have.The error message says: "Your request originated from a website that LiveLink identified as potentially unsafe. Please contact the Administrator. You may Log-out and try your request again."

When I integrated BI I had to add in the Trusted Referring sites the BI server's address.I rememeber doing it as http://biserver and http://biserver:.Trusted referring sites are in the admin.index under security parameters.There is also a crossitescripting check that you can turn off which I do not rememebr now I think it was something like WantXSS=TRUE something like that.The errors is beacuse of livelink not trusting the sender.OT support should know both approaches and will send you detailed instructions on how to get by it.

This message has to do with cross site attacks. The latest monthly patch removes some of the over burdensome restrictions that were added at some point. Apply the latest monthly patch (I assume you are talking about 9.7.1) and give it another shot.

I don't know if the customer has the latest patch, but the KB article Chris Wagg pointed out resolved the issue. Thanks to all who replied.

Chris,I have configured a load-balancer to accept and balance requests on an external IP using SSL. If I access Livelink from the intranet I using (http) everything works great. If I access Livelink from the extranet (using https) I receive this error message within three requests.Can you reccomend setting changes to work around this?The error is:Enterprise Server - "Your request originated from a website that Livelink identified as potentially unsafe" Error Message Appears When Accessing Livelink
