Change synch from NTLM to LDAP readonly 3.0.1 LL9.7 windows setup

I am in the wanting to upgrade directory services from 2.3.4 to 3.0.1 and at the same time change the synchronisation method from NTLM to LDAP read only. I Will continue to use NTLM for authentication. We are running windows server 2003 r2 with iis6 and livelink 9.7.0I have done some initial testing and got the synchronisation working and pulling all users from AD into LL and authentication seems to be working as it should on clean test installs. What I want to know is if any users have experience with switching from NTLM to LDAP RO and the types off issues they experienced if any and things to watch out for. Worst case scenario would be that all users would be recreated and not updated, and users losing permissions and workspaces ect.How will the synch change handle users who’s first names have a space(NTLM couldn’t process properly ) will it be able to process those users with out issue?So any general advice or comments would be good thanks.
