I am interested to know if the text contained by this field comes from some Livelink table? Thanks in advance for any helpful pointers.

Subtype is a column in DTree and yes, the index engine extracts that metadata and stores it in a region in the index - OTSubType. The region OTSummary is ONLY in the index. The content is built dynamically by the index engine based on the text that was extracted from the content of the object being indexed. Regards Lindsay
