Fetch Version Fails to copy

I have created an application that coppies files to the users desktop using VS 2008 - C#. The app works great as long as it is started from the VS IDE. However, when run from the .exe none of the files acually get coppied. I have added some event logging to see what is happening internally. I get an exception when FetchVersion is called. Here is what shows up in the e.message, [LLValue unknown field name: FileAttributes]Anyone with any ideas as to why I am getting this error?
