shifting to new domain

Livelink 9.7.1Directory Services 3.0.0All Microsoft PlatformIn our company new domain installation is going on. So domain name will be different from the current one and all users will be migrated to new domain once the new domain will be ready. For some months old and new domain will continue working simultaneously but after some months old one will be shutdown.Now my question is will it be possible to synchronize same users from the new domain or it will cause issues?

Assuming the new domain has the same users, there is no reason to think that this would not be possible. However, I don't know everything (or anything) about your domains, so I can't forsee problems that are specifically related to the domains.

If your users are currently in Livelink using the domain/username format, then, obviously you will have problems, but otherwise, there should not be any Livelink specific issues with authentication. You may need to modify your synch parameters to make sure that you capture users from a new AD. If this is the case, you also need to be careful about the UniqueID (ObjectGUID is the Active Directory attribute) of the user, if that is changing, you may have problems.

This is absolutely something that you want to verify in a test environment. Finding out after making the change in a production environment that there is a problem will be really bad, as nobody will be able to get in to Livelink.
