Webnode _BrowseCatalogs -> RecArray.sort

Hi, I have a problem with the sort of objects in catalog view. Some servers sort correctly, but on some others it's not. I see that the sort is made in the Webnode module in the function _BrowseCatalogs. It calls RecArray.Sort( tempContents, "Name" ). What can affect the RecArray.sort? Server A = ok, server b = wrong. Both servers have the same installation of Livelink 971.Regards.

Wow. i've looked at the code and do not see a reason for it. All I can think of is different versions of the code on the different servers. The second screen you show IS sorted, just not sorted the same as the first (however interestingly enough the grandchildren are sorted the same...and if you look in the code it does a):response.data.grandChildren = grandChildren = status.contentsRecArray.Sort( grandChildren, 'Name', TRUE )Is it possible one of the servers has a LL971UTF8 code base and the other has a non UTF8 code base?

I have scrutinized both opentext.ini or any others params on the servers, but can't find any relevant differences. Where LL971UTF8 is configured?

I expect the collation settings are different between your two systems. I would check their LL_LC_COLLATE values (found near the [locale] section in the opentext.ini configuration file). This setting should affect the defininition of the sort ordering used. There is an application note on the KC that explains some of Livelink's UTF-8 encoding considerations...

Both servers don't have the LL_LC_COLLATE value, and their opentext.ini are exactly the same!

Are the servers both Windows? Oracle or SQL Server?

Do both servers have the same version of the Oracle client? Are they configured the same way?

Check the Oracle client registry settings: hkey_local_machine->software->oracle. Compare the settings on both servers.

Yep they have the same version of the Oracle client and their registries are identical...as well as opentext registries.

Testing in my Personal Workspace here on the KC, I see the same behaviour, where "?ntreprise" is listed before "Abcd", and "_"-prefixed items are listed last which aligns with your "This is not right" scenario, Phillipe.Cheers,Ben

) Our servers are set in french...not KC. But obviously, we have the "not working server" kinda working in english even if its set in french.

Are you saying server B sorts the same as server A (the good way) when you run builder on server B? But when running the LL service it sorts a different way?If so, when you run builder on the server B, are you logging into the server with the same ID that normally runs the LL service?

Exactly!! And yes I run the builder and the llserver.exe service with the same user account.
