Livelink API and upgrade to 9.7.2

I was wondering if I could get some confirmation from someone about upgrading to 9.7.2 and any effect this might have on lapi code that has been running.I am currently in situation where out test environment is being upgraded to 9.7.2 and production is in 9.7.1 and I have now found that our LAPI code is not working on the test environment, should the code work as is ? Without any changes or will there need to be some modifications made to that code that has been static for sometime now.thanksMichael

Actually, it’s both. Some of the OT employees covermultiple forums and they have other duties as well. Though there are afew OT employees from around the world, mostly the OT employees are on U.S.Eastern Time (GMT-5). Your being on GMT+9:30 or GMT+10 pretty muchguarantees they’re off when you post, so you tend to get responses fromother users and partners who, by the way, are a great bunch of very smartpeople (LOL). I believe the OT employees frequently review the threadsand fill in any blanks that are left by help from other users.

The client code should work without modification (it it worked with9.7.0).Howver, by the LAPI Supported Client/Server Releases Matrix in theLivelink ECM - Enterprise Server SDK Release Notes only LAPI app/clientbased on version 9.7.1 are supported with server version 9.7.1So you may have to update the used libraries and possibly re-compile theapp.If that does not help you may like to consider to open a ticket withOpen Text Customer Support or to post here some details about the errorsyou observe. (A good starting point for evaluation LAPI issues is, asalways, to turn on the detailed thread logging. And, if applicable toyou, investigate the processing of a failing request in LLBuilder.)
