Date Formatting

I was wondering if there is a way to format the Livelink date?Right now when I retrieve the metadata field which is a date it shows as "D:/2004/1/1:0:0:0" but I would like it to show as 2004/1/1 just year/month/date.How can I format the livelink date?Actually I am grabbing the metadata and dispalying it in a C# wondows form textbox. So I would like to be able to convert this livelink data which is in this format ""D:/2004/1/1:0:0:0" to 2004/01/01Thanks
