report to count documents in a folder structure

Anyone have a report or sql statements that can count just the documents in a folder and all it's subfolders for liveilnk 971 on oracle10? I don't have a copy of the schema yet, and need this pretty fast, unfortunately. Thanksf or any assistance.

You could use the following query:

select count(1) from dtree where dataid in (select dataid from dtree start with parentid in (%1,-%1) connect by prior dataid=abs(parentid)) and subtype=144

Inputs:

Type = Container

Prompt = Folder

Param %1: User Input1

Report Format: Auto LiveReport

I want to ensure this script only counts 1 version of each file, that being the most recent. I don't want a count of all versions of all files.

Yes, most recent version only. If it were to count multiple versions, it would require the use of the DVERSDATA table in the "from" part of the SQL query.
