Thanks for your answer. I already struggle one step before. Ifthere is no REMOTE_USER set in admin.testargs, there is no chance to get tworking with LES. The problem I have is with IIS and IE and not currently not withLES. This is the second step

are you using username only in livelink or domainname\username setting ,not really sure if that has any bearing considering that to the webserver it may appear you are coming in from a different domain.I have never had a chance to set it up in different domains so nothing jumps put.

Hello Tom,
yes it is strange and I have configured SSO multiple timesbefore without problems.
The LES is installed on a single server. The server is no DomainController or something similar. Remote Cache is not installed. No forwards areinstalled.
Thanks

Hello Tobias, that's strange indeed. If you get prompted by the IIS then the REMOTE_USER should be set... Are you certain, there is no redirection within IIS to a website or virt. directory with anonymous access enabled? Or maybe a redirection caused by LL (e.g. with RC config)? Is it a single server or a loadbalanced system? And make sure that your webserver is in domain A, but it is no DC itself. Best regards, Tom.
Hi Chris,
I always type in the URL directly. I use https://server/livelink/livelink.exe?func=admin.testargsand I expect the REMOTE_USER not to be empty

how are you accessing Livelink? That is, are you using an internet shortcut to get to it? I have seen before that people make a shortcut to Livelink, but they do it when they get to the login page, so now, if you use that link it will always take you to that login page, even if you have DS authentication enabled.

Hello, I am using LES 9.7.1 on Windows with IIS as web server. I try to configure SSO using DS 3.1. The server is Win2003 with IIS 6.0. The server is in Domain A. I configured IIS to use Windows Integrated Authentification (WIA) for the /livelink/ mapping. I switched of Anonymous Access and all other options. My client is IE 7.0 in Domain B. Both Domain have a trust. The IE7 has Windows Authentication enabled (Avanced Options) and the Zone Settings adjusted with "automatic log on using username and password". The URL is a trusted site. If I try to log in as a Domain User, the IIS formwards me to Livelink Logon dialog (even if NTLM is configured). If I log on as loacl user (non domain), I get the authentication form from IIS. So the IWA works in general. For any strange reason, the REMOTE_USER is not set in admin.testargs. Had somebody a similar problem? Is there anything else to look at? Maybe a IE or IIS patch? Thanks for your help in advance Tobias
Hi,
Ihope I found the error. The tomcat is the problem. I need to change theconnector in the server.xml of tomcat
<Connectorport="8009" enableLookups="false" request.tomcatAuthentication="false"redirectPort="8443" protocol="AJP/1.3" />
Ican currently not try, but I am convinced, that this is the problem.
Thanks for your help
