User Notifications via web services

Hi,

I was wondering if there's any way to set a user's notification setting via web services? I couldn't find a way to do it, so was wondering if it's possible and if so, how you'd do it. We're looking to automatically set certains groups of people to have similar notifications, and an automated way of doing that would be ideal.

As far as I know there is, unfortunately, no way to set notification using the web services.
