Versions inside a folder

can anyone help me getting all versions inside a folder. e.g. if a folder has 2 documents and every document has 2 versions, so report should display all 4 version when I select the folder in Livereport.

Try this....

select dt.dataid, dt.name, dv.version from dtree dt, dversdata dv where dt.dataid=dv.docid and dt.parentid = %1 order by 2,3

Use the dataid of your parent folder or set this to be a container and query it in.

Add additional columns (from either table) to the select list that if want to display them.

This statement would work for both Oracle and SQL server databases in Livelink.

Hi,

You have to try connect by prior in case oracle. For SQL you may have to use different approach.

1. First get all the items under the parent container.

2. Get the versions of the document objects.

3. In case of folders get its sub-items. Repeat 2 & 3 until all objects are processed.

SELECT filename

FROM dversdata

WHERE docid

IN ( SELECT dataid FROM dtree

START WITH parentid = %1

CONNECT BY PRIOR dataid = parentid )

I hope the above query helps( in case of oracle ).
