How do i bundle my custom module into .MSI or .EXE

Hi

Can someone help me on how to bundle a custom module developed using Livelink Builder can be bundled into a .EXE or a .MSI file. Just like any other Livelink optional modules. This will enable us to distribute the module very easily, rather then configuring the custom module on every Livelink host.

Google for how to find the installed services in a machine and find a tutorial that allows you to create a deployer like in C# or VB.MSI's or EXE's of livelink modules just drop them into a working livelink's staging directory.The module has to be installed in every livelink instance(just for consistency or it is a must if it is a schema dependent module).Livelink always follows the two step process in installation( I know since 1999 ) so I would not count too high on the module deployment easiness of your custom module if you made it a exe.The OT distribution bundle just finds the livelink services from the registry or some method in unix to acheive the same.If you are still unconvinced how easy it is to deploy modules of livelink then consider using the CAS module from livelink,which apprently takes a good server's configuration and replicates it among its many instances.
