Hello all,
I've finally been able to complete a sample of the methods in the MemberService component of EWS.
The sample is written in C# and can be located here in the Samples section:

Hello Kyle
Do you have code snippet to disable the Public Access provilege for a specific user in the content server system. I have code a snippet based on your example, but does not work for some reason. Please help.
MemberServiceClient mslient = new MemberServiceClient(); Member member = null; string loginName = "devarav";
try { member = mslient.GetMemberByLoginName(ref otAuth, loginName); Console.WriteLine("Display Name: " + member.DisplayName); Console.Read(); } catch (FaultException fe) { DumpFaultException(fe); } catch (Exception ex) { DumpException(ex); }
User user = null; try { user = (User)member;
user.Privileges.PublicAccessEnabled = false; user.Privileges.CanAdministerSystem = true; user.Privileges.CanAdministerUsers = true; user.Privileges.CreateUpdateGroups = true; user.Privileges.CreateUpdateUsers = true; user.Privileges.LoginEnabled = true;
Console.WriteLine("Privs Changed for user " + member.DisplayName); Console.Read(); } catch (FaultException fe) { DumpFaultException(fe); } catch (Exception ex) { DumpException(ex); }
The above code does not work nor throw any excwption.

Please ignore my post, I did not make a call to the MemberClient.UpdateMember() function, it works fine. Thanks.
Hi,
Is it possible to set the siging authority administrator for a user while creating a new user using the member service.
Thanks,
Ankur
Hello Ankur,
Unfortunately it is not possible to assign a signing authority (SA) or signing authority administrator (SAA) with either CWS or the REST API.
