Hi,

Has anyone configured & used Enterprise Web Services on IIS running on Windows 2003 Server 64 bit? Is this a supported platform?

Hi, Sathya.

You can use the web services if you configure IIS to support 32-bit applications. You may have to also register 32-bit ASP.NET with your IIS as well.

Hi Scott,

We tried as per the suggestion in the FAQ. Since configuring IIS to work with 32bit applications, all IIS goes down. We always get "Service Unavailable" for all site requests.

Any suggestions?

Which exact error are you getting? Which HTTP error is listed in the IIS log? Is there anything relevant in the Windows event logs?

In addition to setting Enable32bitAppOnWin64 to TRUE as described in the FAQ Scott mentions, you must also switch the version of the .NET Framework from 64-bit to 32-bit. Refer to the Microsoft Support Article 894435 for detailed instructions.
