Get IndexTotalHits for func=search&outputformat=xml

I want to create a page navigation area (page 1, 2, ... 10) at the bottom of a stylesheet applied to a XML search result.But the search result in XML format do not give the IndexTotalHits.I have looked at the rh of websbroker (search).execute and saw that the result is stored in .fResponse.response.data.IndexTotalHits.I wonder if/how I could access this info (with a small Ajax req) afterwards since I can extract the cacheID in the XML search result. I could then generate a true navigation part (page 1,2,3 instead of 1,2,3...10).My goal is to not modify the oscript or the html files. Any idea ?

I put in opentext.ini

[SearchOptions]
ShowTotalHits=RAW

But that did not gave the key you mention.

What version and patch level of Content Server are you using?
It should be output as <RawTotalResults> within the <SearchResultsInformation> element.

Hi Jean-Philippe,The old resultlist.xml file in the Content Server installation used to generate that output XML doesn't include that information.You'll need to either upgrade to 9.7.x to gain that functionality in a supported environment, or you can optionally take the unsupported path of reworking the old XML file to include what Steve mentioned.-- Kyle
