A Shortcut Original's Mime Type

Is there a way to identify the Mime Type of the item a Shortcut is pointing to? As in, I want to know from the Shortcut whether the Original is a .doc or .pdf and so on.

Shortcut does not imply a document object.It could be many items in livelink.The database relation is as followsselect dataid,subtype,origindataid from dtree where dataid= and subtype=1If you are a lapi programmer you should use GetObjectInfo with the alias node dataid and look for OriginalID and then you could find the real objects mimetype.Not very straightforward but doable my thoughts.Maybe webservices has a wrapper that gives you all in one shot you could also refine this queryselect filename,mimetype,filetype from dversdata where docid=(select dataid from dtree where dataid=(select origindataid from dtree where dataid=150100))in my e.g the dataid 150100 is the alais id of a documentIf you are an oscripter I am sure you can find your way through I think this lapi call ListReferences is also doable and should have a oscript equivalent as well
