LL 9.7.1 UpgradeCategoryReferences wrong output parameter name

Hi there,

 

I'm curerntly creating a Java application for Category Upgrading in LL. I obviously started using the UpgradeCategoryReferences method for that and was puzzled when the upgrade did not work at first.

With some testing I've noticed that the "upgradeOutput" field "NextID" is actually wrongly defined in the LAPI documentation, it needs to be "LastID".

It would be great if you could confirm that and update the LAPI documentation accordingly and safe some fellow LL users out there some time.

Thanks for letting us know.

I believe you're referring to this line in the documentation:

NextID

Integer

This value corresponds to the next object to process. On subsequent calls to this function, specify this value in the NextID field of the upgradeInfo Assoc when EndOfItems is FALSE

However, the upgradeInfo input parameter uses the LastID parameter -- not NextID.

I will log this internally in our tracking system, however, since 9.7.1 is the last release of LAPI, the documentation will remain static.  Enterprise Web Services is what we're moving to.
