Error loading DLL

Hi,

We are getting an error while trying to publish a Document into Livelink using a LAPI application.

Error:

loading DLL

STARTAPI: LivelinkSession at line 32
ADD:LivelinkAction at Line 73
QueueLivelink at line 43.

This error is only obtained for the application which is hosted on 64 bit windows server. It works fine for the same application hosted on 32 bit windows server.

LAPI version is 9.2. Is LAPI 9.2 compatible with 64 bit windows server?

I doubt the LAPI is designed to work in 64-bit but I don't see any issue running on 64-bit.

LAPI cannot be used in a 64-bit process. The DLLs can be loaded only to a 32-bit process. You can devise you solution with this on your mind. The coexistence of 32-bit and 64-bit components is described generally in the MSDN.

If you cannot build your application as 32-bit (which would be the easiest way), have a look at the thread https://knowledge.opentext.com/go/17261369 which discussed the possibilities what to do with LAPI on 64-bits.
