Un-version a versioned document

Hi,

I have a requirement to un-version versioned documents into un-versioned copies. For example if i have a document with 5 versions, then i need to break it down into 5 documents each with its own metadata.

I thought about using the download feature, by grabbing the context of each version and then uploading it again to a separate document.

Is there a better way in webservices 9.7.1 to achieve the above ?

Also, it is possible to rename a specific version of a document using enterprise web services?

i.e. can i rename document version 3 of one that has 5 versions?

Hi, Amir.

Only two options come to mind. One is to download the content for each version and use it to create a new document. The other is to copy the document for each version, then delete the versions you don't want to keep. I suspect the former would work better...

As for renaming versions, I don't know of a way to do so, through the UI or through the services.
