Differences between 9.7.1 and 10.0.0

We are evaluating the upgrade from LiveLink 9.2 to 9.7.1 or 10.0.0.. Furthermore, we're analysing the amount of work needed to "recode" part of our application that is currently using the LAPI library, so it can use the new Web Services.

Are there any differences between the Enterprise Web Services 9.7.1 and the Content Web Services 10.0.0? I briefly read the client guides and FAQs, and they both look the same.
