I would have to wonder how the account was deleted. If a userwas deleted, a synch should be able to create a new user with the sameusername. This won’t be re-enabling the user, but the creation of the usershould not be failing.

Synching A Deleted Livelink Account

Test Case An AD account for user X is flagged to synch in Livelink. However, the account never gets created in Livelink because prior to DS user X had an account but it had been deleted. Is there a way to undelete the account for user X so that synch can create or update the existing Livelink account?

I would be tempted to open a ticket on this. When you do, haveall your information together. Make sure you have the following:
<![if !supportLists]>1) <![endif]> A specific user that you are trying to reinstate, this should includehis old ID (the entire KUAF entry would be great), as well as the username thatyou are trying to add. They should be the same, I know.
<![if !supportLists]>2) <![endif]>A screen shot showing all of your synch parameters.
<![if !supportLists]>3) <![endif]>A set of logs showing a synch that fails to re-add the user. Ihave attached logs showing what logging you will need.
<![if !supportLists]>4) <![endif]>It would be really nice to have an LDAP export of the user thatyou are trying to synch, but if it isn’t possible to get that quickly, startwith the other items.
With this information, I would not expect this to be a difficultissue to resolve, but this is too much troubleshooting to do in a simplediscussion. I’ll keep an eye out for this ticket and try to help out theperson that gets it, if they need it.

This was set up in our test instance. I went in and deleted the user from the profile page. I tested this scenario because we do have a handful of deleted users in prod and I wanted to know what happens if their AD accounts get flagged to turn those accounts back on or reinstate those users.

Oops, here is the doc with the instructions for the logging.
