Workflow script failure

Hi,

I created a new workflow script in my development environment and was able to see it on the event script tabs. It was then added to the workflow.

When I try to run the script, it gives me an error on the script GenericCB. The error message is "The wrong number of arguments was specified" on the line "retVal = scriptObject.(scriptName) (prgCtx, work, workid, subWorkID, taskID, returnSubWorkID, returnTaskID, extraData)". The connect log gives me the error "No privilege to alter specified task".

Please help - I am stumped and don't know how to correct this.

some things to check

is the workflow id is the wlock table

are you using a workhandle that you generate or are you staying with the one that OT provides

he executing context user has workflow manager privs to do this task?

Thanks for the response. Some answers below:

1. The workflow id is not in the WLOCK table.

2. I am running the workflow as the "Admin" user and it had privileges for this task.

3. Not sure what you mean by "workhandle" below. Can you elaborate?

Just an FYI - it happens with any new script i create - even if the script is completely blank.

Hi Aruna,

Your event script needs to have a function definition that matches the expected arguments. If you look in the feature named "0Documentation" you'll see the required signature.

Check that your event script begins with this:

Function Dynamic ScriptName( \
Object  prgCtx, \
WAPIWORK work, \
Integer  workID, \
Integer  subWorkID, \
Integer  taskID, \
Integer  returnSubWorkID, \
Integer  returnTaskID, \
Dynamic  extraData = Undefined )
