Doculink-Links not created after Creating Folder/Attributs by OScript

Hallo,

i need to create Folders with Attributs, so that Doculinks are created.

It does not work

Folders and Attributs are fine. If i manually remove the Trigger value and manually set it again, it works fine. But it does not work during creating the Folder by OScript.

What do i need to take care of?

Hi Thomas,

The ‘Release to SAP’ is triggered when the attribute is changed of value. If your category definition has already the correct value to do a release to SAP then no change is triggered and also the release to SAP is not triggered. So the value of the attribute in the category definition should not be the value that triggers the release to SAP functionality.

thank you, yes we removed the default Value some days ago, this was first indeed also an issue (and also Category names with ".", like A.Dep.someCat too, but now, this is not anymore the issue and it does not yet work.

i reduced it now to the script below. Here i can set diffent Values to "Release2SAP" and the values are correctly updated in the Object, but the Doculink is not triggerd.

If i change the same value manualy in the Object, it works fine.

Any new ideas?

a) for setting the Attribut values, i use this (setCategoryAttributeByDocID(Object prgCtx,Integer DataID,String CategoryName, Assoc myDefValues)):

Hi Thomas,

When you manually update a attribute, Livelink will create a change list of the attributes that are changed.

This change list is used for the auditing of attribute changes, but is also used by Release To SAP to detect if the trigger attribute has changed. It cannot only look at current value, because you want to release the document only once.

I expect that your own code doesn’t prepare that list. I haven’t seen an easy way to create that list also.
