LAPI - Document retrieval

Hi,

Is any LAPI function to provide in order to retrieve the document as byte array ?

We are aware of "FetchVersion()" api of LAPI_DOCUMENTS object.

This api requires downloading the document to the local file system.

We want to know, if there is any way to read the document as byte array from Livelink, instead of downloading it.

Pl. advice.

Please have a look at the streaming variant of the FetchVersionfunction.You can pass a ByteArrayOutputStream (resp. your programming language'sequivalent stream type) as the stream output parameter.
