Synchronization completed with error - Error searching LDAP

We are using Content Server 9.7.1 and directory services 3.1.0.We would like to use a Windows query in which we are synchronizing the users from a group. In the whole list, we would like to exclude one user. The query runs well when we run in the AD. We believe that we can use the same windows query in the Directory Services. However, it is throwing some errors. Can somebody advise us on the same.The query:(&(objectCategory=user)(memberOf=CN=XYZGroupName,CN=Users,DC=****,DC=****)(!cn=username))
