Search error, I need help

Recently installed a new server Back-End and Front-End, all went well, but when performing a search I get an error.

As this is my testing environment I'm using copies of: Database, LLStorage and copies of the indices which are in production.

Anyone can tell me because I get this error.

When you clone a livelink server database you are supposed to follow a elaborate screen play otherwise you could cause collisions in the file store and search indexes.It basically takes close to just about 30 minutes of chores to clone/clean a livelink system.I suggest you read the documentation I myself have pointed you to that before if I rememebr.The specific error is probably because the dataid in your database(cloned) has old stale data.Have you recreated your enterprsie data source folder in this new env?

I create the folder "enterprise data source folder" on the new server. And I made sure that my test environment it not see the production environment. I have working on these processes and continue to increase.

I hope what you are trying to say is error is gone.However here is an sql statement well known in the livelink world that will tell you if it is a file of some sort where it is.

select name,parentid,dataid,subtype form dtree where dataid=<your problemtaic dataid>

To find that in the version table

select docid ,providerid from dversdata where docid=<your problemtaic dataid>

Then to find where livelink thinks the file is

select providerdata from providerdata where providerid=<providerid from earlier>

If the file can be found livelink will tell you where it is.3 things could happen

usual External file store

000\30\123\12345.dat

when livelink wants the file it will just concatenate the main location like a D or a UNC path and find the file.this is why it is necessary that yoy change the production file store location

Archive Serverwhen livelink wants the file it will using archivelink find the file at that archive id and docid

providerInfo'='ixos://MYARCHIVE@aafap5cwvguu2rrq3ubtlpik2qvt1'

Or like in small instances like test you may be storing it in the database

The query can be written for readiness like this as well

select providerdata from providerdata where providerid=
(select providerid from dversdata where docid=
(select dataid from dtree where dataid=<the problematic dataid>))

If a certain action like what you are doing calls for an actual file and it cannot find it you will ahve problems and you take manual steps to correct it.

From my server Back-End I set my external storage which is located on a partition of my server Fron-Ent, The is that point from my Back-End if I can upload documents, pero want to upload from my Front-End and is Not possible.

Hi if you have more than one livelink connected to the same database all you have to ensure is

1)Run the livelink svcs as a Domain user who can see the file of your EFS with full control

2)Make the file a share and reference it via a UNC path.then all livelink instances connected to this databse can upload.The livelink server under the credentials of the svc user is creating files for you

I will first install everything on a single server ( BE / FE ), and then I will install "FE"on another server.

Database, LLStorage (E:LLStorage) and indexes
