Module Upgrade Version Issue

Hi,

I changed a custom module version from 1.2.0 to say 1.2.1.

I took care into modules .ini file i.e changed the version there too from 1.2.0 to 1.2.1

Then i placed my 1.2.1 version in staging directory and clicked on admin.index> upgrade module on both the admin as well as front end servers. Upgraded the modules and restarted the services.

Now when i check for functionality change it appears and gives me the sought results but when i go on install page the version still shows to be 1.2.0 not 1.2.1..Any pointers if i missed anything?

Version 1.2.1 still exist in staging folder after upgradation?
