Manipulating MS Office documents with OScript

Has anyone updated MS Office documents with OScript before? Is it possible?

One thing I can think of is to use JavaObject and Apache POI API, not sure if it's feasible.

The requirement is quite simple though, there are placeholders in documents, we just need to find and replace them.

Within OpenText global services there are already some modules available that allows for synchronization between CS Attributes and Word Document properties. Maybe it is better to look into an existing solution instead of developing something yourself.

Hello,

Yes, it is possible to solve the case with javaobject and POI. We have done it.

There is only one problem regarding document update. It is possible to syncronize CS attributes and office document properties but document update (properties values to document) have to done manually. We have not found automatic solution for that - for sure it is possible to use macro or something, not veri nice way.
