Index value of additional node attributes

After I create and then add a new node attribute, I need to be able to set the attribute value depending on certain conditions.  The custom attributes get stored in a RecArray.

My question is:  is the position of a particular node attribute consistent within the RecArray, i.e., would I expect a particular node attribute to always be in the same relative location?

My thinking is:  yes, of course, but I just want to check with someone who is certain at the implementaion level.

Hi Allen,

I spoke with development and they'd need to set aside some investigation time to get you a definitive answer, so unfortunately I can't give you any certainty here.

To be safe, we recommend relying on other identifying information regarding the attribute (name) as you walk through the structure.  Hopefully your categories don't have so many attributes that this would result in a performance hit.
