Complex query for date and time

Hi,

I am looking for a way in which I could use a complex query to find all new folders created within a container within the last 15min. This will then be used to kick off a web report.

I am not sure how I can set this query up based on time?

Hi Lee,

This should be quite easy, but depends on what relational database you are using.

If you use Oracle, then current time is available using the term SYSDATE, whereas SQL Server uses GETDATE( ).

A date(time)stamp data type has the time component after the decimal point.

In Oracle you can combine some maths, so you would use sysdate -1/24/4 to get a quarter of one hour

This leads to something like where createdate > sysdate -1/24/4

In SQL Server you use a function ... DateAdd(mi, -15, GetDate())

which means where createdate > DateAdd(mi, -15, GetDate())
