Is it possably to make SQL calls to Livelink database from LAPI?
Not directly, but in a roundabout way you can run a LiveReport from LAPI and process the results.

I think it is worth mentioning that while this may be possible, updating the Livelink database directly would be completely unsupported. I’d suggest that if you really must update the database this way, you seriously consider making a backup of the entire database prior to updating so you can recover should anything go wrong.
