Im trying to find out how many new users we have created within Livelink since the end of August this year, however I cannot find a relevant report. Please advise the best way to find this information?

Hello Fraz,
This information can be found through the Content Server auditing function as well. Go to Admin Index -> System Administration -> Administer Event Auditing -> Query Audit Log.
For Target Items select the By Type radio button. From the drop-down select User or Group. For event type select Create. Leave performers set to All unless only a specific user is allowed to create other users.
Set your from and to date range and submit the query. It will return the audit results to you.
Of course this is assuming that you had at some earlier point gone into the Set Auditing Interests area and select Create as an action to audit.
For sql for a live report you would look at linking the KUAF and DTree tables.
get the valid user information from KUAF with something like this:
Select * from kuaf where type=0 and deleted=0
Then take the dataid of the user and lookup in DTree where you will get the createdate from and count how many user creates there have been since your specified date.
So perhaps something like this
select count(*) from dtree where dataid in (Select id from kuaf where type=0 and deleted=0) and createdate > date_you_want_to_start_at
