File storage size from Livelink

Hi,

Can anyone help me know if it is possible to extract the external file storage size from Livelink? I am looking for a LiveReport which pulls out file stroage size every month from along with no. of users in the system.

Any information/help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Atiya

A Livereport is not the way to find out how big the EFS is.

This information is presented in a full sysreport, although that typically takes some time to run.

If you use external storage, it is simpler to look at the directory / directories on disk and see the size.

If you only have the EFS directory on a drive, then you need only look at the drive properties tab.

For NAS/SAN storage that is less likely to only contain the EFS for livelink./Content Server.

For users, you probably mean active users.

There are postings in the Livereport discussion that will answer that.

You would query the count of distinct performerid values from dauditnew for the auditdate range you are interested in.

    It's not often convenient to run system reports, and there may be valid reasons for wanting this information in a report format.

    A simple LiveReport for MS SQL Server that breaks down the total storage per storage provider could be given as follows:

---
SELECT a.providerType "Provider", SUM(b.DataSize)/1024/1024 "Total Size (MB)" FROM ProviderData a, DVersData b WHERE b.ProviderId = a.providerID GROUP BY a.providerType
---
